RECIPE FOR A DELICIOUS GAY-LA!

First course: Start with more than 200 VIP Juno goddesses; sprinkle in a few Juno gods. Add about 100 auction items with a most vivacious auctioneer-ess.

Slowly stir in the sultry jazz sounds of the beautiful Bobbi Jones. Enjoy, drink, nosh and bid.

Second course: Combine Juno goddesses and gods with a menu of Filets and Mahi Mahi. To complement the dinner, fold in the comic delights of the fabulous MC- BJ Stephens.

For inspiration - pick up the pace and shake on some spirit as Madame President- Genie Wood- provides motivation and a sense of community to all in attendance.

For compassion – render your heart for two Juno grant recipients, Sherri Taylor and Angela Williams, and infuse their words of strength and courage.  Use tissues if needed.

For respect - whisk the first Zena Award into the mix along with a call to action for the cause spoken by Zena Johnson’s partner Helen Green. Again…use tissues if needed.

For honor – reference the menu under “back in the day” and pay tribute to her contributions to the community; the late Sue Hannah was awarded the Zena Award. Raise a toast to an angel named Sue.

Main Course: Spice, season and add a dash of the entertainer Blue to simmer on the dance floor. This ingredient drizzles talent for just the right flambé with a dollop of heart.

Dessert: Turn up the heat; toss in more auction items; bring to a rolling boil by adding music, the disco ball and dance till well done.  Garnish with a good time had by all.

This full course event was properly prepared and served to rave reviews.

The Juno chefs are thrilled to announce that donations exceeded $50,000 - topping the previous year’s goal.  Many thanks to all of our supporters for making J5 the greatest Gay-la ever! Without your support Juno would not be able to provide hope, help and support for Central Florida’s gay women with cancer.

Reservations Accepted: J6 debuts February 9th, 2008
