Angela Williams passed away in late February of this year. Angie spoke at our 1st Annual Golf Scramble last September and attended our ’06 and ’07 Galas. Her mother told us that “they were so very grateful for the foundation’s support because her family was unable to give her financial assistance.” Adding – the week before she died - Angie told her mother she was “supposed to be at our gala and regretted not being able to be there to support others fighting cancer.”
This past January, Angie had to move from her home in Orlando to her mother’s home in Atmore, Alabama to receive family care.
Sherri Taylor, also known affectionately to some, as Sherri Taylor Dayne, passed away peacefully in her home in St. Petersburg in March of this year. She was surrounded by her family and her partner Suzanne George. Sherri was raised in Monroe, LA., and had lived in Orlando and Manhattan.
During her courageous 3-year battle with breast cancer, many times she expressed how much everyone’s generosity allowed her to “focus on the health aspect of surviving this terrible disease.”
With newly blonde hair growing back in and a smile from here to San Francisco, Sherri Taylor spoke at the ’07 Gala and shared with us how Juno made a difference in her life.
A Celebration of Life will be held April 19, 2008 at Sherri & Suzanne’s home located at 136 12th Ave. NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. For more information call: 727-894-7048.
